Iran FM Spokesman Rejects Saudi FM Remarks

Tehran, June 27, IRNA – Foreign Ministry spokesman Ramin Mehmanparast dismissed the remarks of the Saudi Arabian foreign minister that Iran intervenes in domestic affairs of regional countries. Describing the Saud al-Faisal's remarks as "unacceptable", he rejected the claims of Iran's interferences in regional countries. He said the claims are raised while Saudi military forces are intervening in the domestic affairs of their neighboring country and cracking down the defenseless civilians against all international regulations and norms. Mehmanparast also highlighted Iran's stands on the three Persian Gulf Islands and stressed that the islands will for ever belong to Iran. He further termed as "astonishing" the remarks of the Saudi foreign minister who has accused Iran of killing time in nuclear talks and said Iran's nuclear policy and its related talks are quite transparent, explicit and serious based on the principle of defending the nation's nuclear rights./end
