Iran Foreign Ministry Pays Tribute To Srebrenica Genocide Victims

Tehran, July 14, IRNA – Iranian Foreign Ministry paid tribute to the memories of the victims of the genocide in Srebrenica, Bosnia-Herzegovina.
In a statement issued on the anniversary of the brutal massacre, the Foreign Ministry expressed sympathy with the survivors of the savage killing.
The statement also called on international bodies and organizations to take necessary measures to identify and bring to justice the elements behind the unprecedented massacre to stop repetition of such brutalities.
It further stated that the catastrophe not only shocked the whole world but proved the inability of those who claimed defending human rights to do so.
Over 8,000 Muslim civilians including women and children were massacred in east of Bosnia-Herzegovian on July 11, 1995 despite the fact that the city was declared as a secure zone by the United Nations./end
