Iran-Germany FMs Confer In New York

New York, Sept 26, IRNA – Iran and Germany Foreign Ministers met on the sidelines of the 67th annual meeting of the UN General Assembly here and discussed issues of mutual interest. Ali Akbar Salehi and Guido Westerwelle discussed bilateral ties and key international issues here on Tuesday morning. They also discussed the Syrian crisis and Iran nuclear issue. Both sides called for settlement of world and regional crises through dialog and diplomacy and finding peaceful and constructive solutions. In the meeting, Salehi, referring to Iran’s viewpoints on nuclear issue, said that good intention, mutual confidence-building, respecting both sides' rights in the ground of constructive talks with transparent demands are a way to settle the nuclear issue. Westerwelle, for his part, said that Berlin has always underlined necessity of solving the issue through diplomatic ways./end
