Iran, Good Example Of Religious Democracy : Lebanese Official

Beirut, June 15, IRNA – A Lebanese official here Saturday described Iran as a clear example of religious democracy for world states, particularly regional nations. Abdul Rahim Mourad, former Lebanese defense minister, made the remarks in an interview with IRNA. Referring to high turnout of the Iranian people in June 14 presidential election, Mourad said it indicated the nationˈs strong will to maintain integrity, democracy, independence and freedom of speech in the country. He further said the world nations should take a lesson from Iran. The Lebanese official then felicitated Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Ali Khamenei and the Iranian nation on holding dramatic election Friday.
