Iran has played leading role in Hezbollah victories: Nasrallah

TEHRAN, May 28 (MNA) – Everyone acknowledges the role of the Islamic Republic in the victories of the Lebanese Hezbollah resistance movement, Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah said. Nasrallah, the secretary general of the Hezbollah, made the remarks during a recent meeting with Iranian Ambassador to Beirut Ghazanfar Roknabadi. Commenting on the latest developments in the region and the world, Nasrallah emphasized the necessity of vigilance against the enemies’ plots. He said Iran has always supported the resistance movement and played a prominent role in the victories of the movement. For his part, Roknabadi hailed the braveries of the Lebanese people and the resistance movement and emphasized the necessity to preserve the spirit of dedication and resistance until the complete restoration of all rights of Palestinians. During a separate meeting with Roknabadi, Lebanese Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri held talks on various issues, including bilateral ties. He called for the consolidation of Iran-Lebanon ties and emphasized the necessity to promote cooperation in all spheres. Berri also condemned the kidnapping of 13 Lebanese Shia pilgrims in Syria and said given the efforts in this regard he hopes that they will be released and returned to home soon.
