Iran is an important ECO member: ECO secretary general

TEHRAN,Oct.8(MNA) – The secretary of Economic Cooperation Organization has said that Iran is an important member of the organization. Shamil Aleskerov made the remarks during a meeting with Iranian Foreign Minister Ali Akbar Salehi in Tehran on Sunday. Aleskerov thanked Iran for its contributions to the Tehran-based ECO Secretariat and discussed the organization’s affairs with him. Salehi said that ECO should expand its relations with other regional and international organizations and make efforts to identify new opportunities for cooperation.
