Iran to lodge complaint against U.S., EU over illegal sanctions

TEHRAN,July 30(MNA) – Majid Jafarzadeh, the director of the Center for International and Legal Affairs of the Presidential Office, announced on Sunday that Iran will lodge a new complaint against the Unites States and the European Union over their sanctions on the country, which have been imposed outside the framework of the UN Security Council. The EU’s oil embargo on Iran took effect on July 1 and a new U.S. law that penalizes countries that do business with the Central Bank of Iran by denying their banks access to the U.S. market came into force on June 28.
