Iran-Pakistan Ties Improving Considerably
Islamabad, Feb 6, IRNA – Iran’s Vice President for International Affairs Ali Saeedlou said that relations between Iran and Pakistan have considerably improved compared with the previous years.
Saeedlou made the remarks to reporters at Islamabad International Airport on Sunday night.
“Holding seminars and meetings between Iranian and Pakistani officials and visiting delegations from both countries paves the way for further improvement and consolidation of ties between two Muslim countries,” he added.
Referring to setting up joint economic commission between Iran and Pakistan, Saeedlou noted that trade visits by high-ranking delegations from both countries can be supplementary to previous cooperation.
“Expansion of economic and diplomatic ties between Tehran and Islamabad will remove many problems of the Middle East region,” the vice president added while referring to suitable and good potential for further expansion of ties between two Muslim countries.
Saeedlou noted that it is his second visit to Pakistan, while hoping that his visit will be fruitful and in line with implementation of the agreements reached between the two countries.
He pointed out that Iran is determined to implement the huge project of gas transfer to Pakistan in order to compensate for the fuel shortage in Pakistan./end
