Iran plans to manufacture amphibious aircraft

TEHRAN,Aug.2(MNA) – Iran plans to design and manufacture a six-person amphibious aircraft, the director of the center for developing aerospace technology announced on Wednesday. Mahdi Farahi also said that the process to upgrade the Simorgh satellite carrier will be completed by March 2013. An amphibious aircraft or amphibian is an aircraft that can take off and land on either land or water.
