Iran Ready To Cooperate With Lebanon On Fighting Terrorism

Beirut, Feb 25, IRNA – Iranˈs Ambassador to Beirut Ghazanfar Roknabadi voiced Iranˈs readiness to cooperate with Lebanon to fight terrorism. In a meeting with Lebanese Foreign Minister Gebran Bassil, he referred to Iranˈs valuable experience in anti-terrorism campaign and offered cooperation and assistance to Beirut in this area. Pointing out that the terrorist groups, guided by the Zionist regime, are now targeting security of the Lebanese civilians, he said solidarity is the only key to a successful transition in Lebanon in the present sensitive juncture. Talking to reporters after the meeting, the ambassador said that Iran, particularly now after the recent terrorist explosions near the Iranian representative offices in Beirut, is ready to offer assistance to the Lebanese government in fighting terrorism. He said all terrorist operations by armed groups in Lebanon, Syria, Iraq or any other place serve only interests of the Zionist regime./end
