Iran Ready To Target Daesh In Depth Of Iraqi Soil: Commander

Tehran, Sept 27, IRNA – Commander of Army Ground Force Brigadier General Ahmad Reza Pourdastan said here on Saturday that Iran is quite prepared to inflict blows on Daesh in the very depth of the Iraqi soil. He stressed that the Iranian army is quite ready to defend its western borders which are close to the regions where Daesh is operating. He said military units are present in Iran's western border region more prepared than ever before. The Brigadier General further stressed that if ever Daesh terrorists even thought of approaching the Iranian borders, Iran would target them inside the Iraqi territory. He also said the army ground force is planning to stage a drone maneuver before the end of the current Iranian year (March 20, 2015). He said the Iranian army is fully prepared to defend the country and will not be taken by surprise ever./end
