Iran recalls ambassador from Baku

TEHRAN, May 22 (MNA) – The Iranian Foreign Ministry recalled its ambassador from Azerbaijan for consultations over recent demonstrations outside the Iranian embassy in Baku in which demonstrators shouted insults at high-ranking Iranian officials. The Iranian embassy in Baku had previously issued a statement strongly condemning the recent disrespect to Iranian officials and urging the Azerbaijani government to take immediate action in this regard.
