Iran-S.Korea Seek To Broaden Parliamentary Ties

Tehran, May 13, IRNA – South Korean Envoy Tehran Sung Wung Yeub conferred on Sunday with the head of the Iran-South Korea Parliamentary Friendship Group Iraj Nadimi on ways to expand mutual parliamentary ties. In the meeting, Nadimi expressed satisfaction with the expansion of economic and industrial cooperation between both countries adding that grounds for filling the untapped capacities for economic cooperation are well-prepared. Expansion of mutual political and cultural cooperation will lead to more understanding between the two countries, he said. The South Korean envoy, for his part, said that high-ranking officials of the two countries can help create opportunities to further broaden mutual ties and cooperation. Given the upcoming visits of two South Korean parliamentary delegation to Tehran, he expressed the hope that the visits would open a new chapter on exchange of parliamentary relations./end
