Iran summons Qatari envoy after uncovering Arab-linked terrorist network

TEHRAN,June 8(MNA) – Iran summoned the Qatari charge d’affaires on Sunday following an announcement that it had uncovered an Arab-linked “terrorist group” planning acts of sabotage on the presidential election day on June 14, the Fars News Agency quoted an informed official at the Foreign Ministry as saying on Tuesday. “Following the statement by the Intelligence Ministry of the Islamic Republic of Iran about uncovering a sabotage network linked with a regional Arab country, the Qatari charge d’affaires was summoned to our country’s Foreign Ministry in the absence of the country’s ambassador, and Tehran’s strong protest was conveyed to him,” the report said.
