Iran, Switzerland, Syria discuss humanitarian aid to Syrian people

TEHRAN,April 20(MNA) — Iranian, Swiss, and Syrian officials held a trilateral meeting in Tehran on Wednesday in which they explored ways to facilitate the delivery of humanitarian aid to the Syrian people. “In this meeting, the heads of the committees discussed the necessity of taking constructive measures to improve the situation of (sending) humanitarian aid” for the Syrian people, read part of the statement issued at the end of the meeting. It added, “The participants expressed their gratitude to the Swiss government for its humanitarian assistance to the Syrian people and agreed to continue their talks in the future.” Swiss and Syrian officials also thanked Iran for organizing the meeting which was aimed at “alleviating the pain and suffering” of the people of the Arab country.
