Iran-Turkey Pioneers In Islamic Movements : Official

Tehran, May 9, IRNA – Deputy Foreign Minister for Asia-Pacific Affairs Abbas Araqchi said on Wednesday that Iran and Turkey are pioneers in political and social movements taking place in the world of Islam. Araqchi made the remark in a seminar on historical dialogue between Iran and Turkey, started in Tehran this morning. He said the Iranian and Turkish movements have always been incentives for other movements in other Islamic countries. Referring to the Islamic Awakening move in the Middle East and North Africa, Araqchi stressed that the regional developments have been influenced by the political and social movements in both Iran and Turkey./end
