Iran voices concern over Bahrain ruling

TEHRAN,Jan.13(MNA) - Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Ramin Mehmanparast voiced concern over a court ruling in Bahrain that upheld the prison sentences of 13 leaders of the ongoing uprising who were arrested in 2011. On Friday, Mehmanparast said that the Bahraini government should start “serious talks” in order to solve the country’s problems. The Bahraini government cannot resolve the current crisis through expanding the police state and tightening security, he said.
