Iran welcomes constructive dialogue with 5+1: Iranian FM spokesman

TEHRAN,Oct.15(MNA) – The Foreign Ministry spokesman said Iran’s stance in regard to the assertion of its right to develop peaceful nuclear technology has not changed, but it still welcomes constructive dialogue with world powers and the International Atomic Energy Agency over its nuclear program.
Ramin Mehmanparast made the statement on Sunday in response to the fact that part of the remarks that he recently made in Astana, Kazakhstan, about the negotiations over Iran’s nuclear program were inaccurately reported.
He stated, “Iran’s peaceful nuclear program is within the framework of international law and regulations and under the constant supervision of the agency. And Iran, in order to prove its goodwill, has even gone beyond the commitments enumerated in the agency’s regulations and has constructively cooperated and interacted with this organization to clear up possible ambiguities… And meanwhile, it welcomes purposeful dialogue and constructive and mutual cooperation with the 5+1 group and the International Atomic Energy Agency.”
The latest round of high-level talks between Iran and the 5+1 group (the five permanent members of the UN Security Council and Germany) was held in Moscow on June 18 and 19.
And the latest round of talks between Iran and the IAEA was held in Vienna on August 24.
