Iranian airlines have no bid for flights to Saudi Arabia

TEHRAN, Apr. 06 (MNA) – Head of CAOI public relations said Iranian airline companies have not recently made requests to Saudi authorities for flight permits. Following a press release by the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) that the General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA) of Saudi Arabia has ordered the termination of permits formerly granted to Iranian Mahan Airlines Company, Head of Civil Aviation Organization of Iran (CAOI) Public Relations Reza Jafarzadeh emphasized “neither Mahan nor any other Iranian airline has recently submitted a request to GACA to land at the Saudi airports or fly over its airspace.” CAOI spokesman evaluated the underlying intentions to publish similar news as unclear maintaining “following the cessation of Iran-Saudi Arabia flights, Mahan Airlines Company has never placed a bid to fly to Saudi Arabia or pass over its airspace.”
