Iranian envoy in Myanmar to examine situation in clash-hit areas

TEHRAN,Nov.4(MNA) – Iranian accredited ambassador to Myanmar has travelled to the country to meet with Myanmar officials and examine the situation in the western Rakhine State, where a new wave of sectarian clashes between Rohingya Muslims and Buddhists has displaced more than 22,000 people from mainly Muslim communities. The Iranian official is supposed to express the Islamic Republic’s deep concern over the situation of Muslims in Myanmar and explore ways of facilitating the process of providing humanitarian aid to the affected people.
