Iranian FM meets Somali president, Kenyan PM

TEHRAN,Nov.15(MNA) – Iranian Foreign Minister Ali Akbar Salehi met with Somali President Hassan Sheikh Mohamoud in Mogadishu on Wednesday. During the meeting, Salehi stated that Iran is ready to provide any kind of assistance to the Somali people and government. The Somali president said that Salehi’s trip illustrates good cooperation between the two countries. The Iranian Embassy in the Somali capital was scheduled to be reopened and a building of the Red Crescent Society of the Islamic Republic of Iran was planned to be inaugurated during Salehi’s stay in Mogadishu. In addition, Salehi held a meeting with Kenyan Prime Minister Raila Odinga in Nairobi on Tuesday and discussed bilateral issues with him. The Iranian foreign minister also held separate meetings with a number of Kenyan officials on Tuesday.
