Iranian general downplays nearby Arab states’ military maneuvers

TEHRAN, May 3 (MNA) – The commander of Iran’s Khatam-ol-Anbia Anti-Aircraft Base has downplayed nearby Arab states’ recent military maneuvers in the Persian Gulf. Brigadier General Farzad Esmaili said that countries normally hold such exercises to maintain their military preparedness and there should be no cause for concern. Persian Gulf Arab states staged joint military maneuvers, dubbed Islands of Loyalty, from April 29 to 30.
