Iranian heads of three branches of govt. meet

TEHRAN,Sept.11(MNA) – The heads of the executive, legislative, and judicial branches of government held a meeting at the Judiciary chief’s office on Monday. During the meeting, President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, Judiciary Chief Sadeq Amoli Larijani, and Majlis Speaker Ali Larijani discussed a range of domestic and international issues. After the meeting, Ahmadinejad told reporters that the three officials explored ways of resolving the problems facing the people. On the sharp increase in gold coin prices in the market over the past few weeks, the president said the government is trying to bring down the prices. Though the president evaded questions, the devaluation of the Iranian currency against the dollar in the black market had surely featured high in the talks between the three senior officials.
