Iranian institute selected to monitor pollution in Caspian Sea

TEHRAN,Oct.25(MNA) – During the 15th meeting of the Association of Universities of Caspian Sea States, which was recently held in Baku, Azerbaijan, Iranian National Institute for Oceanography (INIO) was appointed as the center monitoring pollution in the Caspian Sea, the INIO said in a report posted on its website on Wednesday. At the meeting, other proposals by the Iranian side were also approved, including the suggestion that an Iranian university establishes an ichthyology museum displaying the fish species living in the Caspian Sea.
