Iranian Majlis speaker denies planning to run for president

TEHRAN ,July 23(MNA)– Iranian Majlis Speaker Ali Larijani denied claims that he would run for the 2013 presidential election, saying that he has no plan in this regard. Speaking to the Persian service of the Mehr News Agency on June 26, Former Iranian MP Hassan Ghafourifard said that Larijani will be possibly nominated by the Followers of the Imam’s Line and Leadership Front as their candidate in the 2013 presidential election.
