Iranian members of Majlis supervisory board elected

TEHRAN,Aug.8(MNA) – During an open session of the Majlis on Tuesday, the 290-seat parliament elected seven lawmakers as the supervisory board members tasked with monitoring the performance of legislators. Many lawmakers had registered for membership in the supervisory board but the Majlis Presiding Board elected six of them as the nominees. Rouhollah Hosseinian, Mousa Ghazanfarabadi, Mohammad Mehdi Mirmohammadi, Gholam Reza Asadollahi, Aziz Akbarian, Avaz Heydarpour received 164, 201, 141, 166, 164, 149 votes from a total of 245 votes respectively. Mohammad Hassan Aboutorabifard was also elected as another member of the supervisory board by the Majlis Presiding Board.
