Iranian Navy rescues Philippine ship from pirate attack

TEHRAN, May 21 (MNA) – An attempt by pirates to hijack a Philippine merchant ship named Rosita near the Gulf of Oman was foiled by the Iranian Navy,Iranian navy said in a report on Sunday. Iranian commandoes rescued the ship, which was destined for Qatar, when it came under attack by pirates’ speed boats. The Iranian Navy has recently saved many ships, including foreign ships, from pirate attacks in the international waters.
