Iranian official calls EU statement on Iran’s stance toward Israel ‘outrageous’

TEHRAN,Aug.23(MNA) – Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Ramin Mehmanparast on Tuesday condemned an EU statement about Iran’s stance toward the Zionist regime as “outrageous”. An EU statement issued on Saturday read that European Union foreign policy chief Catherine Ashton condemns comments by Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad about Israel as “outrageous” and “hateful.” During a speech in Tehran on Friday to commemorate the International Quds Day, Ahmadinejad had said that Israel was an “insult to humanity” and “a cancerous tumor”.
