Iranian Pilgrims Abducted In Damascus

Damascus, Aug 5, IRNA -- A number of Iranian pilgrims have been abducted on the way to Damascus Airport by armed rebels. Syrian official sources have not confirmed the news. Official sources affiliated to Iranian Pilgrims Affairs in Syria are investigating the case. About 700,000 Iranian pilgrims annually pay pilgrimage to the Shrine of Hazrat Zeinab, grand daughter of Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) in Damascus. The number of the pilgrims has currently been subject to dramatic drop./end
