Iranian police seize 1286 kilos of drugs per day

TEHRAN,Jan.14(MNA) – The Iranian police seize an average of 1286 kilograms of illicit drugs per day, the Persian service of the Mehr News Agency reported on Saturday, quoting the chief of Iran’s Anti-Drug Police. According to Brigadier General Ali Moayyedi, about 200,000 people were arrested on drug-related charges during the first nine months of the Iranian calendar year, which began on March 20, 2012.
