Iranian top lawmaker blames high liquidity for rampant inflation

TEHRAN,May 8(MNA)-- Iranian Majlis Speaker Ali Larijani on Tuesday blamed high liquidity for the rampant inflation, saying if this issue is not tackled, no solution can be found for economic woes. “A great mistake happened and that was a rise in liquidity and until the problem of liquidity growth in the country is not resolved and directed toward production sector, this issue will not be resolved,” Larijani told a gathering of exemplary teachers.
