Iranian, Turkish FMs hold talks on Syria

TEHRAN,Oct.17(MNA) – Iranian Foreign Minister Ali Akbar Salehi and Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu held a meeting in the Azeri capital Baku on Monday. The two officials had traveled to Baku to attend the 12th ECO Summit of Heads of State or Government, which was held on Tuesday. During the meeting, Salehi and Davutoglu stated that the relationship between Tehran and Ankara is so strong and deep-rooted that regional and international problems cannot undermine it. They also said that the two countries’ officials are determined to take the measures necessary to enhance cooperation. In addition, the two top diplomats exchanged views on the situation in Syria and emphasized that self-restraint should be exercised to prevent a complicated crisis from occurring in the region.
