Iran`s Velayati advocates ‘prudent resistance’ in defense of nuclear rights

TEHRAN,June 13(MNA) – Presidential candidate Ali Akbar Velayati said that Iran will continue to resist Western pressure to uphold its nuclear rights, but this should be based on a “prudent resistance.” Talking in a gathering of people in the northern city of Rasht on Wednesday, the former foreign minister said his administration will make every effort to address the economic problems of the country. He added that his government will mainly focus on “ethics” and will be “consistent in decision-making process.” The veteran politician went on to say that he will appoint people in managerial posts who are religious, professional, young, moderate, and experienced but unfortunately have been isolated over the past few years.
