IRGC says it will not back any presidential candidate

TEHRAN,May 15(MNA)--The Islamic Revolution Guards Corps will not take a stance for or against any candidate in the next month’s presidential election, the head of the public relations department of the IRGC, Brigadier General Ramezan Sharif, said on Wednesday. In addition, he said that the IRGC would decisively fulfill its duties to discover and combat any move that can threaten the security of the society during the election. He also called on media people and all concerned figures and groups to monitor and foil the enemies’ plots.
