Islamic Awakening has reached Saudi Arabia: Iranian MP

TEHRAN,Aug.6(MNA) – Iranian MP Gholam Ali Haddad-Adel said that the Islamic Awakening has reached Saudi Arabia. “The wave that has started in the Muslim world has certainly reached Saudi Arabia, and the people in Saudi Arabia are also witnessing the repression of (the people) in Bahrain by their country and their own situation in Saudi Arabia,” Haddad-Adel said on the sidelines of an open session of the Majlis on Sunday. “The main issue is that the people have matured to the level that they will not tolerate the ruling regimes because these regimes along with the United States are backing Israel and trampling on the rights of the Palestinian nation,” he added. On the Syrian crisis, the former Majlis speaker said that the U.S. does not favor the settlement of the issue by the Syrian people and is seeking to break up “this important link in the chain of resistance (against the Zionist regime).” “We hope that this plot will be foiled by the resistance of Syrian officials,” he said.
