Jalili: Unity, Vigilance Key To Success Of Resistance

Tehran, Oct 18, IRNA - Secretary of Supreme National Security Council Saeed Jalili said on Wednesday the key to the success of resistance in Lebanon and progress in the Islamic world is insistence on Islamic ideology and maintaining unity and vigilance vis-a-vis enemies' plots. He made the remarks in a meeting with a group of ulama and intellectuals who are members of Lebanon's Islamic Amal Movement, in Tehran. Pointing to Islamic Ummah's victories in recent decades, Jalili warned against the enemies' attempts to divide Muslims in order to make good on their losses. Saying Iran's nuclear martyrs dedicated their lives for revival of Islamic civilization, he added that Islamic civilization enjoys potentials to expand and guarantee the Islamic Ummah. For their part, the Lebanese ulama underlined importance of resistance in Lebanon and Palestine and said enemies do their utmost to create parallel currents and spark ethnic and sectarian conflicts in the Islamic world. Voicing support for Iran's peaceful nuclear program and pleasure with Iranians' great achievements in the field of science and technology, they said Iran's development and security is development and security of the Muslim world./end
