Japan Prime Minister, Sultan Al Jaber discuss co-operation in energy sector

TOKYO, 5th April, 2017 (WAM) -- Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe met with Dr. Sultan bin Ahmad Sultan Al Jaber, Minister of State and CEO of the ADNOC Group, on the sidelines of Gastech Exhibition & Conference, which opened on Tuesday in Tokyo. Dr. Al Jaber conveyed the greetings of the UAE leadership to the Japanese Prime Minister. Shinzo Abe reciprocated his greetings to the UAE leadership and hailed bilateral relations between the two countries. He also stressed Japan's keenness on developing ties between the two friendly countries. They also discussed ways to bolster co-operation in the energy field, with a focus on partnership in the oil and gas, refining and petrochemical sectors, as well as research and development in clean energy technology. Al Jaber briefed Shinzo Abe on development and growth plans implemented by ADNOC, which include using modern technology and activating qualitative strategic partnerships that bring additional interests.
