Larijani: Zionist Regime To Meet Consequences Of Its Syria Attack

Tehran, Feb 3, IRNA – Majlis Speaker Ali Larijani condemned the recent attack of the Zionist regime on Syria and said it will surely meet the consequences of its opportunistic invasion. Talking in the parliament’s Sunday morning session, he said that Iran, since the very beginning of the adventurist actions in Syria two years ago, has been supporting political reforms in that country. He noted that Tehran has always supported any moves to materialize democracy in the Islamic countries. Larijani said as for Syria, the world is witnessing a vengeance carried out by the West, particularly the US, and some backward elements in the region against resistance but unfortunately some regional countries fail to recognize this. He said with the recent Zionists attack on Syria, it is time for the regional countries to stop sending arms and equipments there and distance themselves from that regime. Larijani added that Iran believed the Islamic awakening movement in the region would give a proper response to the Zionist regime. He said the Tel Aviv regime has to realize that the three wars in Gaza were signs to understand its failures./end
