LatAM Leaders Express Sympathy With Quake Victims

Madrid, Aug 15, IRNA - LatAm leaders in separate statements on Tuesday expressed sympathy with the Iranian nation and the government over the recent deadly earthquake that rocked East Azarbaijan Province .
Leaders of Venezuela, Brazil, Bolivia, Nicaragua and Ecuador expressed solidarity with the Iranians over the disaster.
Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez in an official telegram expressed his government and nation’s deep solidarity with the bereaved families and survivors of the quake and readiness to cooperate with brotherly people and government of Iran to restore the situation in the quake-stricken areas.
He underlined deep brotherly and friendly relations of the two nations of Venezuela and Iran for establishing a just social system based on development, welfare and tranquility.
Brazilian foreign ministry in a statement expressed sympathy with Iranian government and nation and the families of the victims.
Bolivian President Juan Evo Morales Ayma addressing in a big gathering of people in one of his country’s provinces and in a telegram expressed sympathy with the survivors of the disaster and expressed condolences to Iranian government and nation.
Bolivian Foreign Ministry in a separate message expressed solidarity with Iranians for loss of life and material damages caused by the deadly quake in East Azarbaijan.
Foreign Ministry of the Republic of Ecuador in a similar message expressed sympathy with Iranian government and nation on the deadly quake.
Nicaraguan President Daniel Ortega expressed sympathy and condolences on the tragic event in Iran through Iranian Embassy in Managua./end
