Lebanon Speaker: Beirut-Tehran Ties To Boost In Near Future

Beirut, Lebanon, May 16, IRNA - Lebanon's Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri announced here on Tuesday that Beirut and Tehran would witness tangible boost in their relations in the near future. Berri made the remark in a meeting with Iran's Ambassador to Beirut Ghazanfar Roknabadi. On recent visit to Lebanon of Iranian Vice President Mohammad-Reza Rahimi, he said the visit is considered as a pivotal step in fostering mutual ties. Berri further underlined the need for consolidation of unity among all groups and parties in his country. Roknabadi, for his part, described the huge turnout of Syrian nation in the recent election as a sign of failure of enemies' conspiracies./end
