Lebanon's House Speaker denounces Egypt blast: This terrorist attack targets Egypt's role, message

NNA - House Speaker Nabih Berri cabled the President of Egypt, Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, whereby he uttered stern denunciation of the terrorist attack against the St. Peter Church in Cairo which claimed the lives of innocent people.
Berri deemed the attack "a blow to Egypt's role and message, and an attempt to tamper with its constant defiance of ill-willed schemes harbored against the Arab and Islamic nation."
On behalf of the Lebanese Parliament and the Arab Parliaments' Union, Berri strongly condemned this crime and expressed solidarity with Egypt's people and leadership.
The Speaker sent similar telegrams to his Egyptian counterpart, Ali Abdulal, and to Alexandria's Pope, Patriarch of the Coptic Orthodox Church, Tawadros II, in which he assured that the heinous crime that targeted the Church in Cairo is a blow, not just for the Church but for the people of Egypt and its wise leadership, and for the prevailing sense of Christian-Islamic conviviality.
"This massacre targets humane values as well as Egypt's stability and regional and international role," he concluded.
