Maintaining sanctions on Iran shows U.S. insincerity: cleric

TEHRAN, May 12 (MNA) – Ayatollah Mohammad Emami Kashani, the leader of this week’s Friday prayers in Tehran, said that the fact that the United States is insisting to keep sanctions on Iran illustrates the insincerity of U.S. officials. After the end of the Istanbul talks between Iran and the 5+1 group (the five permanent members of the UN Security Council and Germany) on April 14, U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton said that the United States will maintain sanctions and other pressure on Iran.
