Mexican Official: Iran’s Nuclear Case Must Be Returned To IAEA From SC

Madrid, July 22, IRNA -- Mexican Deputy Foreign Minister Lourdes Aranda Bezaury said on Saturday Iran’s nuclear case must be taken back from Security Council and return to International Atomic Energy Agency. She made the remarks in a meeting with Iranian Ambassador to Mexico Jalal Kalantari. Bezaury said that Mexican Foreign Ministry is closely following up Iran-G5+1 nuclear talks and encourages the two sides to continue with negotiations. She expressed her country’s readiness to review the potentials for economic cooperation with the Islamic Republic of Iran and called for enhanced level of trade and economic cooperation. Kalantari said that there are wide-scale potentials for economic, scientific and cultural cooperation between Iran and Mexico adding that Iranian businessmen are willing to to expand trade with Mexico. He said Iran continues with technical cooperation with IAEA and expects negotiations with G5+1 will make a breakthrough in removal of ambiguities over Iran’s peaceful nuclear program./end
