Minister of Agriculture to attend global forum

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ The Minister of Food and Agriculture R.Burmaa MP will take part in the Global Forum for Food and Agriculture 2015 to be held on January 15-17 in Berlin, Germany. The summit will be organized in frames of the International Green Week in Berlin which is considered the world's biggest consumer fair for the food, agricultural, and horticultural industries. During the upcoming forum, Ms Burmaa plans to meet with Mr Christian Schmidt, the Federal Minister of Food and Agriculture; and Mr Gerd Muller, the Federal Minister for Economic Cooperation and Development in order to boost the Mongolia-Germany long-term and sustainable cooperation in the food and agricultural sectors. Moreover, she intends to exchange views with them on implementing joint projects and activities and on having opportunities for enjoying a long-term leasing and other financial good services in order to introduce the German latest agricultural techniques and technologies and beef and milk cattle. The Minister also will meet with Mr N.V.Fedorov, the Russia’s Minister of Agriculture to discuss issues of mutual high-level visits, the meat export which has been agreed during an intergovernmental commission meeting, the second phase of a programme for Mongolian livestock, and realizing a joint programme on producing a new sort of seed. Furthermore, the Minister will meet Vice Ministers of Agriculture from Bulgaria, Latvia, Kazakhstan and Belarus.
