Minister of Health and Sport meets O.Gundegmaa

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ The Minister of Health and Sport G.Shiilegdamba Friday received O.Gundegmaa, a State Honored Sportswoman, and her coach L.Undralbat. Gundegmaa spoke about problems facing not only her but also all Mongolian shooters, and then asked the Minister to resolve them, "it if importance to provide us with training materials". Gundegmaa also said she almost lost some points at her latest competition due to a technical problem with her pistol, "I guess it had occurred die to inappropriate storage of the bullets", and asked the Minister to create reliable conditions for storing the sports utilities. The Rio 2016 Olympics is approaching, "so it has become urgent to solve all the problems our national team is facing". In response, G.Shiilegdamba promised to pay attention to the preparation for the Olympic athletes of all kinds and to consider it at a meeting of the national committee for Olympic preparation. Ms Gundegmaa has been qualified to compete in the Rio De Janeiro Summer Olympics after she had captured a gold medal in the women 25m pistol event at the ISSF Rifle and Pistol World Cup that had taken place in Changwon of South Korea. Rio will be her sixth participation in the Olympics since Atlanta 1996. In the Beijing 2008 Olympics, she won a silver medal.
