Minister: Iran-Turkey Should Use Unique Geographical Status

Tehran, April 29, IRNA – Turkish Development Minister Cevdet Yilmaz said that Turkey is the gate of Iranˈs entry to the West and Iran is the gate of Turkeyˈs entry to the East. Yilmaz made the remarks among businessmen of Fars province on Sunday. ˈWe should turn this geographical status of Iran and Turkey into a constructive and dynamic economic cooperation through efforts of the two countries,ˈ Yilmaz said. He said that the volume of trade transactions between Iran and Turkey hit $22m.
