NNA - Greek Melkite Catholics community in Lebanon, Palestine and the Arab world mourned the late Patriarchal Vicar of Quds and Palestine Archbishop, Hilarion Capucci, at an official funeral mass at Our Lady of the Annunciation Church Patriarchate in Rabweh, headed by the Melkite Catholics Patriarch of Antioch, Alexandria and Jerusalem Gregory III Laham. The funeral took place in teh presence of Justice Minister, Selim Jraisati representing President of the Republic General Michel Aoun and Prime Minister Saad Hariri, MP Michel Moussa representing House Speaker Nabih Berri, and scores of political, party and spiritual dignitaries. In his delivered sermon, Patriarch Lahham eulogized the late Archbishop as the champion and great advocate of the Palestinian cause and the rights of the Palestinian people. In the name of President of the Republic, Minister Jraisati conferred upon the late Archbishop a high ranking national cedar citation, in recognition of his struggle of in defense of the Palestinian rights to land and identity. The late Archbishop Capucci then was laid to rest at the Alepian Monks cemetery at the Aleppo Basilian Order Monastery in Serba. ====================
