MONGOLIA AND KAZAKHSTAN DISCUSS TRANSPORTATION ISSUES

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Mongolia and Kazakhstan discussed their cooperation in the auto road transportation at a meeting of the bilateral working group for the transportation collaboration held April 7-8 in Astana, Kazakhstan. The meeting was co-headed by Kh.Yerjan, Mongolia’s Deputy Minister of Road and Transportation, and by Azat Bektusov, Kazakhstan’s Vice Minister of Transportation and Communication. Within the action, Mr Yerjan met with Jenis M.Kasymbek, the Kazakh Minister of Road and Communication, to share views on a present situation of transportation and road relations in both countries. Mr Kasymbek expressed a willingness to cooperate with Mongolia in all directions of the road and transportation spheres, and confirmed that Kazakhstan invited the Mongolian Minister of Road and Transportation A.Gansukh to a conference on international transit transportation which will run this May in Astana. The Deputy Minister Yerjan said Mongolia wants to have its experts get au fait with transportation sector’s factories and entities, including locomotive factory in Kazakhstan, and to have them visit Khorgos and Dostuk border checkpoints. The Kazakhstan’s side accepted the requests.
