Mongolia and North Korea to cooperate in agriculture

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Mongolia and the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK) will run a cooperation in industrial and agricultural sectors. The agreement has been signed by Kh.Battulga, Mongolia’s Minister of Industry and Agriculture and head of the Mongolia-North Korea intergovernmental commission, and by Ri Ryong Nam, the North Korean Minister of Foreign Trade, within the four-day visit of the President to this country. The countries will now collaborate in developing animal husbandry in Sepu island of North Korea and in producing cloth from wool of Mongolian sheep as well as in making thread from coal. The Mongolian side reached agreements with North Korea to seek an opportunity to make investments to Kaesong Industrial Region and to expand mutually beneficial and business cooperation in the agricultural sphere.
