Mongolia-China Foreign Ministries’ consultative meeting on media runs

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ The very first consultative meeting was held Monday in Beijing, China between heads of the media departments of Mongolia and China’s Ministries of Foreign Affairs. The meeting was co-chaired by Ts.Batbayar, a director of the Policy Planning and Research Department of the Mongolian Ministry, and by Ching Gang, a director of the Media Department of the Chinese Ministry. The sides noted an important role of the media in strengthening of a mutual understanding and trust of people of the two nations, and exchanged views on further collaboration between journalists. The Chinese side expressed a willingness to augment a number of permanent representatives of Mongolian media organizations, and said it will activate the journalists exchange. In response, the Mongolian side proposed expanding the bilateral cultural and humanitarian cooperation in frames of the 65th anniversary of the Mongolia-China diplomatic relations. The Mongolian delegation has delegates of the MONTSAME news agency, Confederation of Mongolian Journalists (CMJ) and other media organizations. They have been received by Mr Zhang Ming, the Deputy Foreign Minister of China, and by Sung Yaoming, a deputy director of the Asian Department of the Trade Ministry. They also have legged the Xinhua agency.
